Country/Jazz Singer Mike Faast
Exciting news for 2016, Mike was inducted into the NW chapter of the Western Swing Hall of Fame! Mike Faast has been performing concerts on the West Coast for over thirty years. He currently serves as band leader and front man for the Archtops, (Rhythm and Jazz band) – Brother’s Keeper, (Gospel Band) – the Cascade Mountain Boys, (Bluegrass Band) – the Jangles (Western Swing), and the StringCats, (Acoustic String band). His bands have performed in hundreds events in the Great North West such as Churches, Bluegrass Festivals, Western Festivals, Jazz Festivals, Town Fairs, and Restaurants throughout the Great North West.
Mike has opened for Randy Travis, and Brush Arbor (Christian Country Super Group), and has performed with legendary Country and Western Swing fiddle player Johnny Gimble on several occasions.
Mike and his groups have performed the Wintergrass (Bluegrass) Music Festival nine times with various groups as well most of the other NW Bluegrass festivals including the legendary Darrington Festival (4 times).
Mike and his Gospel group Brother’s Keeper have performed at some of the North West’s largest Churches Including Cedar Park Church, and Washington’s largest church, the Overlake Christian Church. They love performing their Bluegrass Gospel show wherever they are called. One highlight was performing at the Oregon Mens retreat at Camp Tadmore in Lebanon, Oregon where they entertained 2000 men in an amphitheater and were on the same bill as Nationally recognized speaker Tony Evans.
When he’s not performing with one of his stellar bands, he’s managing his business, (Faast Painting LLC) and spending time with his wife (Connie) and their ever growing family.
