Country/Jazz Singer Mike Faast
Mike currently serves as band leader and front man for the Archtops (rhythm and jazz), Brother’s Keeper (gospel), the Cascade Mountain Boys (Bluegrass), the Jangles (Western swing), and the Jangles Quartet (acoustic string band). Mike has been performing concerts on the West Coast for over thirty years, and his bands have performed in hundreds of events in the great Northwest at locations such as churches, bluegrass festivals, western festivals, jazz festivals, town fairs, and restaurants. In 2016 Mike was inducted into the Northwest chapter of the Western Swing Hall of Fame! You can check out Mike’s Western Swing Hall of Fame inductee page below: http://www.nwwsms.com/nwwsms_
Mike has opened for Randy Travis and Brush Arbor (Christian/country super group), and has performed with legendary country and Western swing fiddle player Johnny Gimble on several occasions.
Mike and his various groups have performed the Wintergrass (Bluegrass) Music Festival nine times as well as most of the other Northwest bluegrass festivals including the legendary Darrington Festival (four times).
Mike and his gospel group, Brother’s Keeper, have performed at some of the Northwest’s largest churches including Cedar Park Church, and Washington’s largest church, Overlake Christian Church. They love performing their bluegrass gospel show wherever they are called. One highlight was performing at the Oregon men’s retreat at Camp Tadmore in Lebanon, Oregon where they entertained 2,000 men in an amphitheater and were on the same bill as nationally recognized speaker Tony Evans.
When he’s not performing with one of his stellar bands, Mike is managing his business, (Faast Painting LLC), and spending time with his wife, Connie, and their ever-growing family.
